Mike Adenuga is one of Nigeria largest house hold names that ring a bell and has an inspiring tales about his moves to the top as a financial GIANT...

THE NIGERIA BEST PRODUCT IS PROUD TO PRESENT ONE OF THE STRONG PILLARS OF FINANCE , TELECOM AND ENERGY IN NIGERIA AND BEYOND. THERE IS NO OTHER THAN.....
MIKE ADENUGA

Mike AdenugaMike ADENUGA

Mike Adenuga Junior (b.April 29, 1953) is the Nigerian cHairman Chief Executice Officer of Globacom.

Adenuga's rise to wealth and accompanying fame is an interesting story. His resolve to succeed against all odds started when, while in America, he worked as a taxi driver and security guard to sustain himself in school.

Born on April 29, 1953, Michael Adeniyi Isola Adenuga had his secondary school education at the Ibadan Grammar School, Ibadan, Oyo State, before proceeding to the North-Western University in Oklahoma and Pace University, New York, both in the United States where he studied business administration.

At age 26, Adenuga had already become a millionaire with connections in high places. With his unique flair for risks and sheer tenacity of purpose, in no time he started reaping profits in billions. He owns Equitorial Trust Bank and Consolidated Oil, which carries out crude oil drilling, refining and marketing.

His first shot into the consciousness of Nigerians was when his company, Consolidated Oil became the first indigenous company to strike crude in December1991. He recently made foray into the telecommunications sector. With his Communications Investment Limited, CIL, he was issued a conditional licence in 1999 and frequencies to operate the Global System of Mobile Communications (GSM). The licence was later revoked. Again, when in 2002, the government through the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), organised new auction for the GSM licence, the CIL participated and was one of the four that won the bid. He paid the $20 million mandatory deposit.

However, in the process of effecting the release of the balance payment of $265 million, the company was adjudged to have failed to pay within stipulated time. CIL lost both the licence and $20 million deposit. He later went on to bid for the Second National Operator (SNO) licence, and deposited another $20 million. This time, he was lucky.

He won the bid in August 2002 through his Globacom Limited. The SNO has a wider range of operations as Globacom has the right to operate as a national carrier, operate digital mobile lines, serve as international gateway for telecommunications in the country and operate fixed wireless access phones.

Adenuga's estate business and company shares traverse several countries in Western Europe, North America and the Middle-East.

There is no question about Globacom chief, Dr. Mike Adenuga, being in the billionaires’ league. Indeed, some say with the telecommunications firm, it could have become so even within one month. It was a bit of an uphill task discovering this Ijebu man’s worth, especially as he rarely discusses his wealth or grants press interviews.
When banking was becoming the vogue in Nigeria, and most investors did not know what to do with one license, Adenuga alone grabbed two, and started Devcom Merchant Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank. Many years down the line, as even the biggest banks struggled to raise the mandatory N25Billion recapitalization, Adenuga effortlessly stunned the industry when he simply merged his two banks and fulfilled all righteousness as demanded by our Central Bank, and his two banks became one Equitorial Trust Bank.

Also, when Nigerians were allowed to bid for oil wells, Adenuga was bold enough to go for both on-shore and off-shore licenses. Characteristic of some of our people, they alleged that he had cashed in on his powerful contacts within the ruling military elite to win the best sites, and that while the voice belonged to Jacob, the hand clearly was that of Esau, as if they would have rejected such opportunities if indeed it came their way. No one was willing to consider his capabilities, or his propensity for hard work. He confounded his traducers when Consolidated Oil became one of the foremost indigenous firms to discover oil in commercial quantities; and he has maintained the lead many years after his so-called sponsors left power. We must learn to give honor to whom it is due, and seek to encourage hard work. Given the same opportunities, many would have found it difficult to excel like Adenuga.

As an entrepreneur who dared where others feared, Adenuga’s wealth increases by GSM calls. His estate business and company shares traverse several countries in Western Europe, North America and the Middle-East. Son of an astute trader, the late Ma Oyinkansola Adenuga, 54-year-old Adenuga is an astute businessman, who dabbled into telecommunications at a time the industry was going through teething problems. Having gone through the thick and thin of the industry to emerge the second national carrier, his Globacom is ruling Nigeria, and perhaps the world, as its name goes, just as its owner smiles to the bank.

He won the bid in August 2002 through his Globacom Limited. The SNO has a wider range of operations as Globacom has the right to operate as a national carrier, operate digital mobile lines, serve as international gateway for telecommunications in the country and operate fixed wireless access phones.

Adenuga will certainly continue to rule in years to come, especially with his Conoil, Equatorial Trust Bank Plc (ETB), GLOBACOM and other investments at home and abroad.

if half of Nigeria women Were like Cicillia Ibru Nigeria would have been richer and more developed than USA.

THE NIGERIA BEST PRODUCT IS PROUD TO PRESENT A FINANCIAL PRODUCT THAT HAD MADE SUCCESSFUL INDELIBLE FOOT PRINT ON THE SOIL OF NIGERIA AND AFRICA AT LARGE
Cecilia IBRU

Cecilia IBRU

Cecilia Ibru (born on March 22 ,1946) is one of the most powerful women in Nigeria, if not in all of Africa.

Cecilia Ibru: First Lady of Banking.
Cecilia Ibru, managing director and chief executive officer of Oceanic Bank International, one of the fastest and most profitable banks in Nigeria, is by any measure a remarkable person. She confounds all expectations of what a banker must be, except in her ability to make some of the shrewdest decisions in the country’s financial sector.
Ibru herself attributes her success to “a mindset that is dependent on God’s inspiration and the desire to actualise. One thing is to have a vision,” she says, “the other is the ability to dissect it, strategise and achieve it”. Ibru received a BSC (Honours) in Sociology from London University in 1971, a Master of Philosophy from North East London University and a Certificate of Eligibility from the Council of Legal Education in London. She cut her teeth in the business world by working with the Ibru Organisation, founded and headed by her husband, Olorogun Michael Ibru. Even at 61, Cecilia Ibru, who was born one of twins, is still a beautiful woman. Her husband, Michael Ibru, himself a Mohammed Ali look-a-like, is no less a personable individual. She still cherishes the memories of working with him in his company. “He knew what he wanted. But because I worked under him, I think I was rather privileged. He gave me my responsibilities and I discharged them to the best of my ability. We had that kind of mutual expectation that I would always give my best in whatever I was asked to do”. Putting in her best paid off. She became the managing director of Oceanic Bank international in 1997.

Cecilia Ibru is a deeply religious person. She ascribes all her success to her faith and her relationship with God. All the honours and accolades heaped on her have not turned her head; rather they have made her modest. “It (success) makes me fear God more –I don’t want to offend Him” She interprets her award as “people saying to me, I can see something of God in you. They are giving that award to the display of God’s favour in my life. That’s how I see it”.

Highly respected among her peers as the ‘First Lady’ of Nigeria’s banking industry, Ibru is the first female leader to raise her bank’s equity to N25bn, (approx $203m), the first female to head the 5th largest bank and the 9th largest company quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the first female CEO of a Western Union Agency in West Africa to meet the performance and turnover targets of Western Union, and in year 2000, the first female CEO to post over N1bn profit ($8.143m at today’s value) in a financial statement. In April 2007, Oceanic Bank International came in at number 110 in African Business’ Top 200 African Companies rankings, 12th in the West African sub-region and 16th in sub-Saharan Africa.

Deep religious faith

Despite her modesty, there is no doubt that Cecilia Ibru is one of the most powerful people, not only in Nigeria but throughout Africa. But she is uncomfortable with this description of her. “Well, that is the world’s view, that I am powerful. But I tell you again, that power comes from God”. “Mine is very simple belief,” she states.” I believe God made the world and made me. Therefore if He is my maker, I need to know Him. If everybody testifies that God is wonderful, I need to get closer to Him and know how wonderful He is”. For her, business is all about human beings. “If I am in business and I don’t care for my fellow human beings, I don’t care for my staff, I don’t care for my customers and I don’t care for those I come across, the likelihood is that my business will not prosper”. Another principle she holds on tightly to, one that her husband Olorogun Ibru taught her, is: “Be fair. Be firm. Even as you gain, others should gain”.

She believes that administration is the key to sustainable business. Staff welfare is very important. “Let’s face it. It is the staff who make the business. If the employees are reasonably happy in the sense that they have not just remuneration but job satisfaction, then they will be productive”. Oceanic Bank International has become the most recognisable face of the sprawling Ibru business empire which includes publishing, hotels, manufacturing and the oil and gas sector. Ibru does not feel that she is under any pressure to outdo other enterprises within the empire. She says the founder of the conglomerate, Olorogun Michael Ibru, is a man of wisdom.
“He has given everybody their own responsibilities. Therefore you run with yours. There is no way we criss-cross each other. It is like establishing parallels that need not cut across each other. Everybody is running on his own steam. Who is running fastest, that is the favour of God. That’s the way I look at it.”
Nigeria is a patriarchal society in which women are expected to know their place. But Ibru says that although there have been difficulties with attitudes, her gender has never really got in the way. “My grandfather was a big businessman, so I was used to business. My own father was a lawyer cum businessman who went into politics. And then, of course I am married to one of the business patriarchs of Nigeria. So, relating to men in business was not strange to me. In fact, I reasoned more with my grandfather, my father and my husband than I reason with women”. Like all great leaders, she has an acute eye for detail and never seems to stop working. Can she slow down? “Whatdo you mean can I slow down?” she shot back “People see me and say ‘she is always busy’ and I say to them ‘that is the one you see. When I am resting do you see me?’” She is not one for social outings for the sake of it. “If it is important, I will go out. If it is not, I stay in my house!” Weekends she goes to church, reads and relaxes with her family. “Who says I can’t slow down? What do you mean I slow down?”Go on holidays, for example? “Oh yes, I go on holidays!”

Nigeria Best Products IS proud to say that Femi Otedola is a branded name in Nigeria that is among the best product ever produce in nigeria

Nigeria as a country need world class industrialists that can easily aid both human development and economy advancement. This is why THE NIGERIA BEST PRODUCTS Present
Femi OTEDOLA as one of the Best products...
Femi OTEDOLA
Femi Otedola is the Nigerian President Chief Executive officer of Zenon Petroleum and Gas limited.
In 2009, he joined Aliko Dangote on World's Richest List (Forbes magazine) with an estimated worth of 1.2 Billion Dollars.

Femi Otedola is the billionaire owner of multi-billion naira indigenous oil giant Zenon.
Zenon, which is directly ran by Otedola is the dominant force in diesel business among oil marketing concerns. It supplies this all important fuel used to power the generating sets of most Nigerian industries to nearly all the major manufacturing firms in the country. These include Dangote Group, Cadbury, Coca Cola, Nigerian Breweries, MTN, Unilever, Nestle, Guinness among others. Otedola is the son of former Lagos State governor, Sir. Michael Otedola. Otedola owns one of the largest oil storage facility which he purchased for N2.8 billion. He bought hundred brand new trucks purchased for N1.3 billion to strengthen the distributive arm of his business and acquired a massive flat bottom bunker vessel with a storage capacity of 16, 000 metric tonnes of diesel for 6.8 million dollars. Zenon owns four cargo ships. He owns Atlas Shipping Agency, Swift Insurance, FO Properties Limited, FO Transport.

He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zenon Petroleum and Gas, the company that is currently sitting at the commanding heights of the nation's diesel and kerosene business.

Otedola started Zenon few years ago and within a short time seized control of the market. Today he has become the pacesetter in the downstream sector while expanding the frontiers of competition. NNPC Group Managing Director, Engr. Funso Kupoloku acknowledged this much when he said Zenon was now the company to beat in the downstream sector.

From nowhere, Zenon is today rated among the top five companies in the country, with a huge turnover .
But how did he do it many have asked? In an interview some years ago he attributed his phenomenal leap to “hard-work and staying focused on what you want and going all out to get it."

He exhibited patriotic sentiments in the same interview when he said: "We are investing our money here, to create job opportunities for people. Nobody is going to take the money outside the country."

His company appeared to have fully prepared itself for the deregulation of the petroleum sector as evidenced in its purchases. Buying three cargo ships in quick succession to bring its total number of ships to four. All named after his parents and wife. MT Sir Michael (his father), MT Lady Doja (his mother), MT Nana (his wife). His latest, he named Zenon Conquest. Energy experts say Zenon's expansion is to consolidate its competitive edge in the market.

Apart from being the biggest diesel and kerosene marketer in Nigeria today, he is said to be the biggest ship owner in the country. Which partly explains his nomination as President of Nigeria Chambers of Shipping, a powerful and highly influential body in the maritime sector. The oil baron and shipping magnate also bought 100 brand new DAF trucks from Netherlands to strengthen his distribution arm. Zenon now boasts of a total storage capacity of more than 147,000 metric tonnes total holding of diesel making it the biggest depot owner with the largest single storage capacity in the country.

He is also the owner of Atlas Shipping Agency, Swift Insurance, FO Properties Limited, FO Transport and Seaforce Shipping Company Ltd. His appointment last year into the board of Nigeria Investment and Promotion Council, NIPC, observers believe, is the President’s vote of confidence on the young man's business abilities. It is for this that he was also nominated by the President on the team of top Nigerian businessmen to go on an investment drive to South Africa They are essentially to meet and interact with the south African business community and the South African President, President Thabo Mbeki.

On his part, Otedola contributed well over N100 million to the President’s re-election expenses. And under the aegis of friends of Obasanjo and Atiku, he contributed N25 towards the rehabilita
tion of the National Mosque in Abuja. He was one of the co-launcher of Obasanjo Presidential Library, where donated N200 million. He is said to have direct access to the President.

No matter how we see it, these enterprenuers are worth reading and searching for.
They have a unique way of pushing their names into the homes of Nigerians and making their products necessity. These are some of the reasons we need to learn from them.
Definitely the next brand of enterprenuers will be ten times greater than these once. so lets know what makes them great...
